Use of FEIN

Use of WVU and WVURC FEIN

West Virginia University’s Federal Employee Identification Number (FEIN) can only be used on bank accounts that have been approved by the WV State Treasurer’s Office through WVU Treasury Operations. All banking services for WVU bank accounts require approval by WVU Treasury Operations. Outside bank accounts requested by WVU affiliated organizations are permissible with the following stipulations:

• Non-state funds are involved
• WVU’s FEIN cannot be used on the bank account. WVU Payroll & Tax Services can assist in getting an FEIN for banking purposes only.

WVU Research Corporation’s Federal Employee Identification Number (FEIN) can only be used on bank accounts that have been approved by WVU Treasury Operations. All banking services for WVURC bank accounts require approval by WVU Treasury Operations.
